Runway 07/25 Reconstruction Project
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Runway 07/25 Reconstruction Project will be received by Mineral County, at the office of the County Administrator (1201 North Main Street, P.O. Box 70, Creede, Colorado 81130), until 4:00 PM local time on April 12, 2022. Bids received will be publicly opened and read at the Mineral County Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 13, 2022, at 10:00 AM. The Project consists of constructing:
• Base Bid (Schedule A) – Runway 07/25 pavement removal, grading, pavement construction, and paint markings.
• Bid Alternative 1 (Schedule B) – Apron and crack cleaning, crack sealing, replace tiedowns, seal coat, and paint markings.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis, with additive or deductive alternate bid items (if any) as indicated in the Bid Form.
Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form. Printed copies of the bid documents are not available from the Engineer or the Owner. Bid documents may be viewed online and downloaded without charge and without deposit from http://www.mineralcountycolorado.com. Downloaded files may be printed on the plan holder’s equipment. Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies by contacting a reprographer directly. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs.

Addenda to the project will be posted on the website. The BIDDER is responsible for periodically checking the site. The CONTRACTOR that is awarded the project will be responsible for printing all documents necessary for performing the work.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference held at 11:00 AM local time on March 23, 2022 at the Mineral County Courthouse, 1201 North Main Street, Creede, Colorado 81130. Interested parties are required to attend and only bids received from registered attendees will be considered as qualified by the Owner.

The project is funded with grant funds from the Colorado Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics. Award of the project will be contingent upon receiving funding and award concurrence from the above listed funding agencies.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Mineral County, in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder and a Certificate(s) of insurance shall be provided.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the receipt of Bids noted above.
The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner.
