Clerk to the Board

Responsibilities
The clerk maintains the official records of the meetings and public hearings for the board. The clerk houses resolutions, ordinances, and special district service plans for the board.

Mineral County Minutes Posting
Mineral County has chosen to post board meeting minutes on the official county website. The minutes are not posted on the website until they have been approved by the board at a regular first of the month meeting. Meetings are held every two weeks - the first Monday of the month and the third Tuesday following the first meeting.

Copies of Resolutions, Ordinances &, Minutes
Copies of resolutions, ordinances, or minutes are obtained by contacting the Clerk's Office at (719) 658-2440 Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The cost will be 25 cents per page.

Board of Equalization Hearings (CBOE)
The clerk is also clerk to the board for their Board of Equalization hearings. These are the hearings where the board hears protests of land valuations set by the County Assessor. Copies of these hearings are 25 cents per page.

Mineral County Board of Commissioners Meetings
Minutes are taken by the County Clerk or Deputy. All minutes are stored in the Courthouse. The meetings are also recorded. The official minutes are the minutes the Board actually signs once they approve them. Copies of the recorded minutes may be purchased by sending a request to the County Clerk. Official copies of minutes can be obtained at the Clerk's office.
