JULY 20 MEETING RECAP

The Mineral County Commissioners met for their regular mid-month meeting on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

Items on the table for discussion included:

  • Acceptance of the resignation of Drew Marino, Noxious Weed Manager.  The Commissioners are sad to see him go.  There was further discussion on the future of the program.  A job opening notification has been posted on this website and several other places.
  • The Commissioners discussed with Louis Feinberg, Creede City Manager, the final points of a contract with Voyent for an emergency notification system to be used by the County and City.
  • The Commissioners voted to purchase a used compactor for the landfill.
  • The Commissioners meetings was recessed and a Public Hearing to consider the recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission on an Application for a change to the Zoning Map was convened.  After hearing comment from members of the public and from the applicant the Commissioners voted to take the recommendation to deny the petition for a Zoning Change in Creede Haven 2 and 3.

The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on Monday, August 2 beginning at 9 am at the Mineral County Courthouse.
