The Mineral County Board of County Commissioners met in their regular mid-month meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2021. The following items were on the agenda:
- Jon Ruggerio was hired as the new Senior Lunch Program Director
- Erica Roden was hired as the new Administrative Manager for the Ambulance Service
- Approval was given to Creede Mesa Estates Homeowners Covenant Amendment per their Covenant requirements
- The Commissioners passed a resolution reinforcing the County's opposition to a Wolf Re-introduction in MIneral County
- Signed a contract with Springboard Preservation Studio to develop a master plan for the donated mining claims and building around the Commodore mine site
- Voted to purchase with the City of Creede an emergency/information alert system for City and County residents
- Discussed the upcoming Free Dump Day and celebration of the purchase of the land containing the landfill from the Forest Service on May 22
- Approved the addition of a Cook Shack to the ongoing construction at the Mining Museum
- Hear an update from Martha Williamson, Divide District Ranger, on getting ready for summer in the Upper Rio Grande
